Journey through Media Studies

      Location and Sound:         While filming, my group and I had the easy decision of filming at school, considering that our film is taken place in a school setting. We did run into a few difficulties though. For instance, finding the right time to film has been the most difficult thing. There are a lot of people who attend our school, which makes it hard for us to try to incorporate the others and also exclude them as well. We also had difficulty with sound. As I stated before, there are a lot of people at school which contributes to a lot of noise. I know that when we begin editing we will have to edit out a lot of sound. Over all, filming has been a very difficult task so far. We actually didn't expect to be this difficult, but my group and I will be sure to brainstorm some more and figure out how we can create solutions for our problems. The observations I made while watching these inspired me to come up with ideas for my own film such as the use of  b-roll and less significant shots that still add atmosphere and location. I want to use this technique in my own film as well. In order to make the movie feel more polished, I also want to alter the music to fit specific scenes and use such music to build either suspense or character. Each of the elements used in these films were intricate and used uniquely and I intend to do such thing as well.  1. Rise I noticed that the editing and soundtrack were interesting and made it funny to watch, among other things. However, I don't think the narrative was very clear because I didn't understand what the man who was watching from outside was trying to do. This picture is used to represent the location of where our film is being taken place.
