EDITING PT2/REVISIONS

After showing the video to my peers and my teachers, they had a few suggestions that I thought were imperative to add to our film. For instance, a teacher of ours suggested that we used an effect that further shows the transition of bodies in our film. We added a almost rainbow-ish color to the transition, so that creates a dizzy effect. We also made our audio a bit clearer. Of fee of peers said that it was hard to hear some of the audio in our clip. The last thing we added was a filter on our blank screens that showed the red text. We felt it was a bit bland the blank screens kind of dulled the movie clips.

EDITING

In our movie, we make an effort to make the most of the editing by using effects that enhance the story's telling and the trailer's general flow. Some of the effects included a blurring focus, which makes the photo first fuzzy before coming into focus. To link various situations and pictures, we utilized fade in and fade out transitions. To get to the next shot in the movie, we also made simple jump cuts. To make it seem more dramatic, certain pictures were slowed down. The movie also employs a filter effect that gives the colors a muted, grayish appearance. This was done on purpose to make the trailer mellower and better convey the loneliness. As a result of the film being trimmed down, it was difficult to meet the length requirement, which was a problem during the editing process. We decided to prolong the trailer by brainstorming more scenario ideas. Moreover, we considered adding more "filler shots" of items that don't directly relate to the plot but neverthel...

First Day Filiming

Our fist day filming was a bit challenging to say the least. It actually took us a quite a while to film and it made us a little behind with our work. Even though we had a few obstacles, we pushed through and got 41 seconds done out of  the 1:51 that is required. These two clips consist of our production "Company"/name, and our Movie title. A lot of people have questioned us on the title of the movie, and it really has do with Monday being the day of the week that no one likes and Camila is considered the character that no one likes nor care for.  Our hallway scene probably was the scene that took us the longest to film but we thought this scene was imperative when capturing the emotion we wanted to evoke. We put this scene in to show the uniformity of the students in comparison to our character Camila who is seen as the outcast. This scene was kind of a filler; it was used to introduce Camila but also put in some of the credits.

CHALLENGES

Given that our movie is set at a school, my group and I had little trouble deciding to film there when we were shooting. Nonetheless, we did encounter a few obstacles. Finding the ideal moment to shoot, for instance, has proven to be the most challenging. Our school has a large student body, making it challenging for us to try to both include and exclude the others. We also experienced issues with the sound. As I previously mentioned, there are many individuals present at school, which increases noise levels. I'm aware that we'll have to remove a lot of sound once we start editing. Overall, filming has been a really challenging process. The members of my group have successfully helped to eliminate these obstacles though. They have done a great job in working together and pitching  new and innovated ideas.

COSTUME

In regards to costume, my group and I decided to keep it simple and minimalistic.  For our main character Camilla she will be wearing our standard school uniform.  She will also be wearing black khaki pants.                                                                                                                                                                                                                              ...
